XPLORE 120/12 – THE MOST POWERFUL YACHT CHARGER ON THE MARKET
The XPLORE 120/12 battery charger is the largest and most powerful charger available on the market today. The universal AC input with auto-ranging and 120A output current provide ultra-fast and reliable charging worldwide. With up to six output sets for simultaneous charging combined with the ability to charge two sets of batteries with different chemistries, the XPLORE 120/12 eliminates the need for separate chargers for each battery type and therefore minimizes installation and wiring costs.
The Xantrex Xplore marine charger also features a clear LED display on the front panel that displays basic configuration and status information for the charger and battery banks.
Advanced monitoring and configuration via NMEA 2000 protocol or Xantrex app using Xantrex BLE module
Main advantages:
- Charging six battery banks
- Charging of various chemical AGM, Gel, LiFePO4, Acid batteries
- Designed for charging lithium batteries
- Possibility to charge discharged batteries to 0 V
- NMEA 2000 Monitoring and Configuration

It is common knowledge that every piece of equipment – navigation, communication system or data tracking – must have an external power supply from batteries, which are charged by a charger. The same rule applies to yachts. The lack of a properly adapted yacht charger means a greater probability of failure or malfunction of the devices.
What is a yacht rectifier?
The term "rectifier" is used interchangeably with the term charger. Simply put, rectifier for yacht is a device that changes alternating current to direct current. This means that it provides a constant current, which is important for power systems such as those on yachts and commercial ships.
Of this type AC-DC chargers are in our offer. Thanks to the use of the latest solutions, they can be used on both yachts and commercial ships. These devices are characterized by the intensity of the current coming from 3A to 150A. In addition, we have in our offer DC-DC chargers (stabilizing device; model 12-24-48VDC / 8-30A).
Which yacht chargers should you choose?
choosing AC-DC yacht charger, it is worth considering several criteria. The first one is failure-free operation. Compatibility is also important – our devices are adapted to the requirements of all types of Li-Ion batteries and accumulators. It is important to choose the right charger power for the size of the battery bank. What is more, the power range on which these yacht rectifiers can operate is wide: 90-265 VAC / 47-63 Hz and 304-552VAC/3Ph. Thanks to this, they can be used both in Europe and in the United States, without the need for additional devices. The devices have ETL, UL, CSA and CE.
We also cannot forget about the type of charging – our chargers have a three-stage charging system. Thanks to this, charging is fast with minimal power consumption.
Equally important is the safety of using yacht chargers. The design is protected against DC surges and high temperatures. Another important parameter when choosing this device is its size. The ones we offer are compact and lightweight, which allows them to be mounted in various orientations in a limited space. In addition, they allow for free access to the wiring.
Main criteria for choosing a charger:
- How many battery banks do you want to charge?
- The battery charger must have the same voltage as the battery bank.
- As a rule of thumb, 25% of the battery capacity (up to 50% for gel batteries) as charge capacity is sufficient to safely and quickly charge the battery while continuously supplying power to the on-board network. For example, a 50-amp battery charger is sufficient for a 200 Ah battery.
